Meeting minutes 29th August

Sorry that we haven't written anything on our blog lately. We hadn't had a meeting for ages!!

We were thinking to do a tabloid house competition. Here are our plans...

At the start we could do Jump Jam. (warm up)

Activities we could do are…

- Egg and spoon race.

- Throwing balls into a hoop.

- Balancing something on your head.

- Gumboot throw.

- Beanbag throw into bucket.

- Water game- use rag to fill up a different bucket.

- Dress Up run.

- Bat and ball games.

At the end we could have a...

- Whole school relay.

- House leader race.

- Tug of war.

We are thinking of organizing a few activities on Pet day. One idea we had was “How many jellybeans in the jar?”

If anybody has any ideas, come tell the council.

Meeting minutes 5th July

Class Reps.

Our class reps are Jayden and Lani from Room 2 and Dylan and Chloe from Room 1.

They will come to every meeting we have and give their opinions.

Technology Challenge.

The ideas we came up with were...

- Build a shelter.

- Make a ball grabber.

- Balloon snatcher.

- Build a bird feeder.

- To fire a ping pong ball

- Mystery challenge

Canteen Bandana Day.

We've decided on the date. It will happen next term in week to. The next meeting we have will decide the actual date.

Jobs we have to do

Sam and Flint- They are to create a flyer about the Canteen for the newsletter next week.

Holly and Kendall- Create a flyer about the technology challenge and the shared lunch.

Kayla- Welcome the class reps in assembly.

Other stuff we discussed

The last assembly, we decided since Rangitoto was majorly winning, each week we will double Kakepuku and Pirongia's greenies. Hopefully that should get them up to where Rangitoto is.

Meeting minutes 20th June

Jobs we have to do...
Anna- Type up all the info we discus in the meetings.
Kayla and Kendall- Look on the canteen website to see if we want to fundraise it.
Holly and Flint- Investigate what sort of science challenges we can do on the last day of term. Plus have a shared lunch on the same day.
Sam- In assembly he will tell everyone about that you are not aloud to share food and what will happen if you do share food.
Mrs Weaves- Agenda and will also make the council blog.

Greenies
In the meeting we had today we thought the teachers should cross the road every lunch time to see if anybody deserves a greenie.

Ideas of how we could use the netball we won:

-We could put it in a raffle and then all the money we raise can go to some charity.

- At the end of the year you could give it as a prize for someone who has done really well through out the year.
- Put in the cabinet next to Room 1.
- During class time the teachers can go outside and play a game with the kids.

Other topics discussed

Constable Brenton will come sometime next term to teach Room 3 about doing the right thing on duty.

The council have made a blog.

If we get some kids from each class to give their opinions the teachers should choose who they are.

School Council Members

The senior class members of the school council are:

Sam, Flint, Anna, Holly, Kendall and Kayla.

Currently, we are deciding on class representatives for Room 1 and 2.
